The Fashion Truck
The Fashion Truck may not look like much on the outside, but when Emily Benson opens its doors, she says "the reaction most often is smiles and, 'I love everything in here.'" Her truck is packed with hard-to-find jewelry, hats and dresses.
Emily Benson, 29, said she opened her Boston-based business, The Fashion Truck, because of the freedom a mobile store would give her.
Boston's best people and ideas of 2011
If 2010 was the year of the Boston food truck, 2011 was the year our fashion went mobile. Former Henri Bendel merchandiser Emily Benson created The Fashion Truck, a glam boutique on wheels loaded with trendy fashions and accessories such as headbands and clutches.
The Boston Fashionista
Emily Benson's fashion career is rolling. No, really! It's rolling... down the street, in a truck. And not just any truck - The Fashion Truck.
Untapped New York
Fact. The recently revved up Fashion Truck rolled into New York this week to celebrate the 2011 Racked Awards, carrying a highly-curated collection of clothing and accessories.

Emily Benson is the brains behind The Fashion Truck - a boutique on wheels that specializes in affordable styles. The Fashion Truck rolled into the NECN parking lot on Monday morning. Emily helped Leslie Gaydos shop for some great fall looks, and explained the concept behind her mobile shop.
Baked potatoes, falafel, and waffle sundaes are overrated. Especially when you can pick up a jet-black stiletto instead. Much more satisfying, don't you think? Fashionistas certainly do. They're zooming right past the food trucks at the SoWa Open Market every Sunday to hit The Fashion Truck. An LBD? TFT has it, with a side of pearls. T-shirts and jeans? They're on the menu too, with a bright leather clutch a la carte, of course.
Emily Benson always wanted to own a clothing boutique but couldn't decide on a location. So she gases it up and drives wherever the fashionistas are. Benson launched The Fashion Truck earlier this month, and the Westford entrepreneur wants customers to forget they are shopping on four wheels.
